Released 2007 The Days and the Hours is an intimate view of an unlikely sanctuary in a hard world. At St. Boniface Church in the middle of San Francisco, homeless people are allowed to sleep in the pews in the midst of daily church activity. Filling row after row, over a hundred exhausted men and women find a short respite from the dangers and tumult of sidewalks and city shelters. We hear their voices describing the lives they had before they slipped off the tracks -- lives not very different from those of any of us.
"A deeply disturbing and utterly compelling work of art." -- Film Threat
